We cannot comment on what other institutes offer or the qualifications of their faculty. What we can confidently tell you is that our courses are extremely comprehensive, with syllabi that are scientifically validated.

Our Personal Trainer courses feature intensive practical training, conducted with a 5:1 student-to-Master Trainer ratio. This ensures every student receives personal attention and sufficient practice time. These practical sessions take place on a fully equipped, state-of-the-art gym floor (referred to as our LAB), providing students with the hands-on experience and expertise needed to become highly effective fitness professionals.

Yes. The Personal Trainer Courses, Nutrition Course, and Special Populations Course offered by the K11 School of Fitness Sciences are aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), set by the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) under the Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC).

Additionally, K11 School of Fitness Sciences is an approved training provider with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a body established by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. Through this association, K11 is contributing to the development of skilled professionals for the fitness industry, with a mandate to generate over 55,000 qualified individuals.

Yes. After successfully completing the Advanced Personal Trainer (APT) or Advanced Personal Trainer Pro (APT-Pro) course, students have the option to obtain international recognition.

This is made possible through the accreditation by PD: Approval and recognition by REPS India. With this international recognition, K11-Certified Personal Trainers become employable in 10 other countries: the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Poland, Ireland, Malta, Turkey, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom.

No. In order to uphold the reputation and integrity of K11 certifications, and to ensure that employers across the country can trust our certified professionals, we do not issue participation certificates.

Only students who successfully clear all required examinations are awarded a certificate for any course offered by the K11 School of Fitness Sciences. This policy ensures that the certification genuinely represents the knowledge, skill, and competence of the individual holding it.

We do not recommend rushing through the course. The schedule is carefully designed to balance classroom sessions, practical training, and self-study to ensure effective, well-rounded learning.

That said, we request you to connect with a K11 Counsellor, who can understand your specific situation and guide you accordingly.

Please note that regardless of the pace, no part of the syllabus can be omitted or skipped for fast-tracking. Every component of the course is essential and contributes to your complete and thorough learning experience.

While we do not offer a job guarantee, we do provide placement assistance once you successfully pass the required examinations.

Thanks to the widespread recognition and acceptance of K11 Certification within the fitness industry, most of our students confidently apply for jobs independently and are employed at leading fitness facilities across the country.

For those who would like support, the K11 Student Placement Assistance Cell is available to guide students in key areas of career readiness, including:

  • Professional Ethics and Career Guidance through the Principal’s Address session, which is part of the course.
  • Assistance in creating a professionally formatted résumé, if required.
  • Mock interviews to help students prepare for job interviews, if required.
  • Grooming tips to help students present themselves appropriately for the fitness industry.

Additionally, the Placement Assistance Cell regularly shares active job vacancies in the fitness industry. Occasionally, employers also conduct online presentations to introduce available positions. Students can either apply independently or request the Placement Cell to forward their résumés to prospective employers. Employers then contact shortlisted candidates directly for interviews. Once selected, students officially begin their careers as fitness professionals.

If a student does not clear the examination on the first attempt, they are entitled to one re-attempt at no additional cost.

If required, multiple further attempts can be taken by paying a nominal re-examination fee. Certification is awarded only after successfully passing all the relevant examinations for the chosen course.

For complete details on examination rules and regulations, we recommend speaking with a K11 Course Counsellor by calling 7666611011.

The theory lectures of the K11 courses are conducted at our Brick and Mortar schools currently present in 5 cities across India, viz. Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi as well as via a Face-to-Face, Interactive Video Conferencing system. The virtual classes allow two-way live interaction of the students with the lecturer just like sitting in a classroom. A student can raise their hand and get the questions answered by the teacher.

However, the Practical Module of the K11 Personal Trainer Courses, where the form and technique of exercise are taught to students, will happen in the exercise LABs, which are the fully equipped in-house gym floor at all our schools.

This means that students of the PT Courses can attend the entire theory module of the course (3 months in duration for weekday batches) from the comfort of their homes, and visit the school premises for the practical part of the course (approximately 2 months in duration).

We firmly believe that a fitness professional is incomplete without hands-on practical training which is not possible through correspondence or online learning. Hence, we are strictly against the concept of correspondence courses when it comes to certifying fitness professionals. Our brick-and-mortar school campuses and exhaustive face-to-face learning experience make a fitness professional qualified from the K11 School of Fitness Sciences totally job-ready and extremely effective in the job.

In case of the K11 Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course, the Personal Training for Special Populations (PT-SP) Course, and the Gym Setup & Management Course, the entire course can be done via the Face-to-Face, Interactive Video Conferencing system (virtual classes).

K11 also has a proprietary examination app that allows Theory examination of HPN, PT-SP, and GSM to be conducted remotely. This facility allows students to appear for examinations from their homes while getting remotely invigilated.

The eligibility criteria set by the School for the courses are as follows:

Personal Training Course: SSC (10th) Passed or equivalent

Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course: HSC (12th) or equivalent

Personal Training for Special Populations Certification Course: Having completed the K11 Personal Training Course

Fitness Professionals earn their income through professional fees. It is not a salary-based income model for fitness professionals.

It’s hard to put an exact figure on the earnings of a fitness professional as it differs from individual to individual. The amount of time and dedication that an individual puts into his/her profession plays an important role in the earnings. The certification will definitely help in increasing the income potential. There are no high-profile gyms that employ non-certified staff. Trainers in these gyms enter at a minimum salary of Rs.8,000/- to Rs.12,000/- per month; and then with personal training clients which is the actual source of income for fitness professionals, the take-home can go up to Rs.40,000/- to Rs.50,000/- per month. There are many certified fitness professionals who are making in lakhs per month.

Absolutely! The Gym Setup and Management Course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge on how to successfully establish and manage a gym. From understanding the essentials of gym layout and equipment selection to learning business operations and client management, this course covers everything you need to know to get your gym up and running smoothly.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to enhance your existing skills, this course will equip you with the tools and insights to ensure your gym’s success.

A physiotherapist is a highly qualified professional, in a field of expertise that is entirely different from that of a fitness professional. The physiotherapist’s role is to look after a person suffering from a musculoskeletal or neuro-musculoskeletal pathology and rehabilitate the person to physiological normalcy. The role of a fitness professional starts at physiological normalcy to take the individual to higher levels of fitness. Hence, a fitness trainer is not qualified to do the job of a physiotherapist or vise-versa, and thus, a Physiotherapist must get qualified in the K11 Diploma in Personal Training Course if they wish to expand their horizons beyond rehabilitation.

K11 School of Fitness Sciences offers all its courses in the vernacular medium of Hindi. The course content remains identical, and the certificate awarded upon successful completion is the same as in other mediums. Additionally, the Personal Training Course textbook has been translated into Hindi. We believe that studying in the language you are most comfortable with leads to optimal understanding and better learning outcomes.

The Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course is a vocational course and currently, in India, there are no accrediting bodies or professional registers to qualify the standards of education, and professionally registered Human Performance Nutritionist.
Only those that have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree can proceed on to become a Registered Dietitian (RD).
As far as the K11 Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course is concerned, it is the most scientifically accurate and up-to-date course in the Fitness Industry.

It has become possible because of K11’s constant efforts into research and development of the course syllabus. A dedicated Nutrition Department, which comprises of highly qualified teaching faculty and a research cell, is constantly toiling to make sure that the syllabus and the study material that is delivered in the course are totally and completely scientifically validated and referenced. Everything that is taught in the course is evidence-based.

NO. It would be completely unethical for a school teaching fitness sciences to deal with topics related to pharmaceutical drugs.

Pharmaceutical drugs as a class of substances are prescription medicines for certain disorders and may have serious adverse side effects if not used under medical supervision, and hence, the Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course will not cover steroids or pharmaceutical drugs. However, sports supplementation and performance-enhancing food supplements are covered in general in the Diploma in Personal Training Course and in-depth in the Human Performance Nutrition (HPN) Certification Course.

Grades in school and college never really reflect a person’s true IQ. Interest & passion for the subject matter plays a huge role in your absorption of the course content. Thus, if you have a passion for fitness and exercise, and you are doing the course from the express desire of learning as much about fitness as possible, then passing the examinations will not be difficult. We have many examples of students who were below average in school and have passed the K11 examinations with flying colors.

No, this is not allowed. The use of the Exercise LAB is allowed only under the supervision of a K11 Master Trainer during the scheduled practical sessions which are part of the K11 Personal Training Courses.

The K11 Master Trainers conduct the practical classes in the Personal Training Course in such a way that a student learns the bio-mechanically correct form and technique of executing exercise movements by themselves, and also the 1:5 ratio of teacher to students make sure that each student gets to see the corrections made on their classmates by the K11 Master Trainer and observe the teaching techniques employed. Client spotting and teaching techniques are taught throughout the practical classes. This gives all students practical and hands-on learning when it comes to teaching exercises to individuals. Further, the DPT Course has an Examination as per international standards called the Training Program Delivery to assess a student’s capability of handling a client and delivering a training program

This category – Diploma in Personal Training, was what the K11 Certified Personal Trainers Course was slotted into, by ICREPs approved Auditors – PD:Approval, who accredited us for our Personal Trainer course to be recognized by the Register for Exercise Professionals India Foundation (REPS India) under Category A – Personal Trainer. Visit www.repsindia.org for more information.

Degree Courses are extensive, ranging from a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 6 years. The reason for the elongated duration is not the fact that they teach more in-depth about domain expertise. They combine general education, with probably only the last year dealing with the specialization that one chooses to have a profession in.

Diploma courses, on the other hand, are intensive. They are designed in a way such that the learner gets foundation theoretical knowledge about the subject that one chooses to learn, apart from extensive practical training needed in the job industry. It is a type of education that dispenses knowledge with APPLICATION, solely focused on what you have chosen to do professionally. Diploma courses, thus are a maximum of one year in duration.

A Diploma is a term that precedes the term Certification Courses for Vocational Education. It is a more recognizable term simply because it has also been a part of or an offshoot of formal education. This is also the reason why many people insist that one cannot use the term unless one has approval from or association with bodies such as the UGC (University Grants Commission Act, 1956) or AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

The truth, even in the Indian scenario, is:

  • An institute, a polytechnic, or a university can offer a diploma course
  • There is no need for the institute or the polytechnic to be UGC or AICTE approved
  • A diploma is a specific academic award usually awarded for professional/vocational courses
  • Diploma programs provide education within your given field and get you into the workspace sooner

K11 Diploma in Personal Training fits all the above criteria, and more importantly, has been approved to be REPS India Category A – Personal Trainer, accredited by ICREPs approved auditor – PD:Approval as a DIPLOMA in Personal Training.

*ICREPs: International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals.

We have many students who have done the course and became very good fitness professionals without having any background in fitness before the course. This is possible only because our faculty teaches assuming that the students know nothing and cover all the basics. The only thing necessary is a curious, open mind, respect for scientific facts, and a sincere approach to the studies involved in doing the course.

Yes, change of batch or transferring the course to any other K11 School is possible. However, this is subject to seat availability in the desired batch and location. A student has to put a request application for the same to the K11 Student Support Cell by writing an email to support@keleven.com or via the Student Support Section on K11’s official website www.keleven.com.

They CANNOT. That is why the practical classes in the K11 Personal Training Courses are conducted in a very healthy Teacher to Student ratio of 1:5. That means, all the batches of the K11 Personal Training Courses are divided into small groups of 5 students and each group is assigned a K11 Master Trainer. This ensures enough practice time and personal attention from the Master Trainer for all the students.
